It's Stinkin' Cute Craft Thursday #20 & Giveaway

As you all may know the first of the month is my busiest time at work. So needless to say I don't get much blogging done. My right hand co-worker gave her notice on 8/30 and her last day was 9/1. So Tuesday her replacement was announced and because she was in the department I was able to start training her. I haven't gotten any of my monthly report stuff done, but at least someone is starting to offer me some relief. In addition I am trying to help my mom organize the school carnival since we haven't done it in like 3 years and try and get the work meeting for the end of October planned. So much to do... NOT enough time. Then with all this silly flooding in Texas it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to work on Tuesday. Really I about turned around and went home for the day.

Ok, on to why you are here I finally mailed out last weeks winners package. Since it took me a couple extra days I included a couple extra items as a sorry for my laziness.

This weeks winner was #12 Courtney from Between U & Me for her Hostess Gift Entry using her stampin' up stamps. Very cute way to decorate the platter I might add. Congrats Courtney. Make sure to send me an e-mail at itssewstinkincute @ hotmail.com with your address and then leave a comment on this post saying you sent me an e-mail in case it goes to the junk filter.

Now for our three features:
Crystal over at Crystal's Craft Spot added an absolutely beautiful gift to give parents of a new born. You could even adapt that for kids or families of all ages. Great idea and I will for sure steal the idea sometime in the future. Isn't it just fabulous?!!

Next we have Kari at The Adventures of One Crazy Lady who has shown us not only her two fabulous aprons, but also gave us the peek at which pattern that was used. I have seriously been looking for a good apron pattern that is easy and this one looks super cute! I should probably try and make a Thanksgiving and Christmas one. I love holidays. Hey Kari, how long did each one take? Easy enough to do for gifts?

And with everything that Misty over at The Creative Itch does, I LOVE these hair bows... If you haven't read my obsessive bow post then you have no idea how much I love bows. These are super stinkin cute! Tutorial maybe? Pretty please? I just think they are the bees knees!

  1. I am so honored to be featured this week! The apron was EASY to make and the best part is that it's reversible so it's like getting 2 aprons for the price of one :)! I used Simplicity pattern 2691 that I bought at Hobby Lobby. If you were to work straight on the project, I believe it would probably take about 2 hours - if you're a pro at using patterns, you'll probably speed through it :) Happy Sewing!!!

  3. Ali, you had me going there for a minute. I was like wait I didn't send out a book... oh... that was from the book you won from the other contest you entered I don't remember where you said from. I just mailed yours out yesterday (later than I prefer, but I added some extra goodies, so I am sure it will be ok with you though). Hope that you do something fun with the book since the topic did sound pretty boring!
