Just what I needed... NOT!

Locked myself out of my car... just what I needed today... oh and cherry on top... where is my spare set you ask? Oh, just locked in my car. :o(

What a bad way to start my Tuesday/Friday. I am so mad at myself. Anyone have words of encouragement?

***Update - I will be getting in my car in about 15 minutes or so and it will only cost $45.00. Could be worse price wise and a lot slower for that matter. Valuable lesson. Keep the keys on self at all times when getting out of the car (not in a purse) and keep the spare set at home. ***

***2nd Update - Got in for $40.00... not too shabby, but then again angry that I did it to begin with. It was kind of scary how fast the guy got the door open, he didn't even use a jimmy. He used the lock picking tools you see in movies to open a door, and was in within 30 seconds. Wow was my first thought! Ashley, if it makes it sound even dumber I have a clicker. I must have hit it not paying attention and then thrown it in my purse then when I got out of my car I shut the door before grabbing my purse, because it was cold and went to grab my coat. Yup, today I am the queen of how to be not so bright*** The day is looking up at least... not much more can go wrong from here (knock on wood)!

Lucy over at Fly Away Home posted a tut on something that I have wanted to do for a while. It is an adorable crayon bag. Bottle Cap Necklaces

Ok, so this past weekend at the craft fair this lady was selling these snap cap bottle cap necklaces and making a boat load of money on them. Um, can we say easy to make and I can do that...

So round one turned out like this...
Bottlecaps

For round 2 I need to use sticker paper instead of regular paper at the bottom and modge podge as the glue. But aside from that, these little suckers turned out really cute!!! What do you think? These would make adorable little gifts and party favors (I mean once turned into necklaces that is)!

Baby Gender Reveal Party

So we already knew that I was going to be an Aunt... but Friday night we had a party to find out if it was going to be a boy or a girl.

Here are some pictures from the event...

When you walked in the front door you had to pick if you were on Team Holden or Team Julianne (basically did you think it was going to be a boy or a girl).
DSC_0530

Then you had to fill out the baby guess card I made and showed you last week.
DSC_0533

When you looked up, you also saw these cute decorations.
DSC_0535

All through out the house there were cute decorations like this...

Here is the lemonade.

Rice Krispie Treats (You can't tell in the pictures, but they are trains and pink butterflies.

Cream Puffs with baby color drizzle...

There was other food, but nothing major to note... however incase you are wondering about the little food label holders... They are balls of white playdough with a paper clip stuck in them. Kind of cute and great for holding the label since I couldn't find my nice label holders.
DSC_0545

Ok, so on to some fun pictures...

Here is the picture of Team Holden (Laci wasn't feeling good, so getting her to smile wasn't really happening)...

Here is the picture of Team Julianne

Here is the picture of right after my sister cut the cake and found out what it was...

If you can't see the icing... IT'S A BOY!

So it was time for Jennifer and Tim to open the blue package... These are the shirts that I made for them. I made them using my cricut, freezer paper and some fabric paint. Pretty cute!

Right after they opened it...

As you can tell most of the people were on the wrong team. Me included....
DSC_0759

Aren't they cute!!
DSC_0791

Here is the family after we found out... (ok so partially I was on team Julianne because the name was going to be after me and someone else and also so that I could hand down Laci's adorable clothes, oh, well.. I am seriously just as happy... never been around a boy baby)
DSC_0779

Here is me and my sister. Isn't she a pretty pregnant lady? In 21 weeks I will be an Aunt to little Mr. Holden David Ring.

I am so excited for them. Anyways, thanks for reading and hope you may get some cute ideas for shirts or food.

Craft Fair

Ok, so this past Saturday I participated in a craft fair. Needless to say, I didn't really do all that well (it was their first one, and I was stuck in a room next to an awkward massage lady), but I do consider it a win because I got to spend the day with my best friend.

With that said, I will have to figure out how to sell these cute college mirrors that I have made. What ever another topic for another post. I did sell some cute girly ones though.

Anyways, here is a picture of me in the shirt I made for the event. Um, can we say pasty white? Yeah... as much as I am opposed to tanning, I might have to go for a month so that I don't look like the white part of a turkey for all of the holiday pictures. I mean I look so white it looks bad. On, the up-side... my shirt is a rockin!! I love it!

DSC_0797

So I had fun, but now I have so much to do for the holidays. I need easy inexpensive ideas... Anyone have some good suggestions?

Have a great week!

Baby Gender Reveal Party

Friday my sister is having her baby gender reveal party. Before the reveal we are going to guess about when the baby is born, what it will be, etc. This is what I came up with. Mind you this is not done in a fancy software. I did all of this in Microsoft Publisher. They will be about the size of a post card when printed. Obviously the picture is a little blurry, but I wanted for you to see the whole thing and it doesn't look as good all scrunched up. Any of you wiz kids want to help me with expanding my middle area and getting rid of the negative section not being used on the side? Eh, just throwing it out there.

Baby Guess

What do you think? Anyone intrested in learning how to do this?

Weight

***WARNING*** People on major health kicks may not want to read what I have for breakfast and skip the next paragraph.

I sit here 10 months later (eating my daily breakfast consisting of a double chocolate muffin and diet coke <- I know so not healthy) almost 16 pounds lighter.

Has it sunk in yet for you? 16 pounds... 10 months... Pretty good if I don't say so...

How do I look you may be asking since I had that awful Christmas day picture taken? In truth I don't feel like I look any different. Kind of sad, I mean I am about 5 pounds from my body's happy weight... 10 pounds from my personal goal, and I am not happy about it.

I mean in the past month we (meaning hubby and I) haven't made it to the gym, and that has been because our lives have been so hectic. Funny enough we tried to go this past Thursday night and they were closed for renovations for the week... News to me. We will probably go back if not a couple days this week then for sure next week probably every day.

Anyways, I sit here kind of bummed, I mean I know that I have lost weight because my pants don't fit anymore (they sag really bad and I find myself pulling them up every time I walk <- actually I can pull them down off of me without unbuttoning them at all <- kind of neat), and I am actually going to go back down to a 6-8 size.

You probably are asking yourself what the **** is she doing if she hasn't gone to the gym in a month and eats the worst breakfast on the planet. I eat a smart one every day for lunch, in fact 4/5 times it is the Chicken Fetichini one. There are very few times that I will break and go downstairs to the cafe for lunch but it is usually for the Chicken and Rice Stuffed Bell Pepper on the Weight Watchers menu or if they are having one of the 3-4 salads I really like. Then for dinner I try and be smart with my calories and not pick something heavy.

What ever I am doing, it's working, so I can't complain... I just wish that my stomach and thighs reflected the loss in the mirror. BTW, I hate mirrors with the exception of this one skinny mirror that was in a hotel in downtown Dallas when my friend Lauren came in town I stayed the night with her. I loved this mirror, I mean I looked good... Any other mirrors forget about it.

Anyways, enough of my self loathing.

Hello World - Happy belated Halloween...

A while back on It's Stinkin' Cute Craft Thursday #25 I featured Erika from The Dating Divas with their adorable mummy idea.... so I didn't do the card, but I did do the candy bars for the girls at work and added a tag that said I was "tied up the week before" and didn't get the chance to wish them a Happy Halloween.

I have to admit that hers was cuter than mine, but after the first 10 I was kind of tired of wrapping the stuff around and forgot to put the eyes under the wrapping and tie it off... eh, oh well the girls (and guys at the office) loved them. I even got an eye roll from my boss who was like... ok that's kinda cute. He is diabetic so he said, is that sugar free... I said no, but take it to your wife or grand kids, they will get a kick out of it.

Candy

I post this because I like to A. Give credit where credit is due, and B. Like to show you all that I LOVE that you post ideas to me every week, and I do use them... even if it is on my to-do list I love to reflect on the amazing things that you all come up with. I can't wait to start working on Christmas stuff! Before that I have a digital scrapbook album to work on and a craft fair Saturday to prepare for. Anyone have ideas on easy college stuff to make? I am kind of running on empty at the moment, and want to add a couple of things to the booth.

Its Stinkin Cute Craft Thursday #28 & Giveaway

Do you know how hard it is to catch a criminal? Seriously the law makes it so incredibly difficult! I have been swamped at work, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Meaning that by next week provided the current phone scam comes to a slow down that I should be able to share some of the cool things I have done over the past couple weeks in my "spare" time.

Ok, so seriously... thank you for sticking with me while I work through this super busy time of year!

Ok, so my winner for week 26's entries is... #12 - Krista over at While he was Napping shared some delicious looking spider nachos that I could devour right about now.

And my winner for week 27's entries is... #1 - Steph over at Silly Precious Piggies shared a Butterfly Costume Antenna Tiara Tutorial. Super cute!

RNG 28

Both of you please make sure that you e-mail me at itssewstinkincute @ hotmail.com and also leave a comment at the bottom here saying you have sent an e-mail incase it goes to the junk filter.

As always, if you didn't win... make an entry this week for the chance to win a GREAT goodie pack. Just ask one of my winners so far... I am sure they will tell you that entering and getting the stash o' goodies is well worth it!

Ashley over at Cute as a Fox continued with her theme this year and her little tykes went as Mario and Luigi for Halloween. Ahem.... ADORABLE!!! I just love it! She even shares where she used patterns and stuff. I just love it Ashley it is super cute!

Another Halloween costume that caught my eye was this lovely little Lady Gaga. This comes to us from Carri over at Little Orange Monkeys. Her daughter looked super cute and truly like a rock star! Great job Carri!

Staci.... I want this... so if you would like to make another you just let me know. ;o) So Staci over at Just Sew Sassy has shared with us a tutorial for a super duper cute as a button apron that I must make one for myself (unless you just feel so inclined to make one for me) kidding... I need to pull out my sewing machine anyways and take a vacuum to the layer of dust that has probably built up on it since I used it last oh... Anyways, back to the cute apron. The tutorial looks really easy and it is like I said super cute... check it out!
